Hey folks, this week we’ve only got two topics to discuss, but they’re doozies: Dr. Who’s jam-packed finale (actually, lacking in jam now that I think about it) and the announcements from Blizzcon (and why at least one has Nate thinking about playing dress up)!
This week we talk about Sid Meyers Civilization: Beyond Earth (we talk a lot about it). Then, we whip out our phones to compare sizes (Samsung Note 4 and Galaxy S5) before touching on the new Playstation 4 Share Play features.
This week: Adam laments fantasy Hearthstone leagues (while Nate revels in Adams misery). What does it take to push to legend? This month Adam will find out.
Deck Building looks at an aggro hunter, and could Adam be calling a truce with KelThuzad? Check out the deck lists below.
Following a little discussion on the new expansion, we take some time to theorize on new ways to release cards (could leveling be a thing again?) and ponder if there will be new format divides of Hearthstone in the future.
We also talk about how you may be better than you think you are (blog post from Hearthstone Senior Designer Ben Brode), and try to figure out what type of player you are.
This week: Season 2 comes to a close, Shadowrun: Dragonfall (its really good), Leverage, Starship Gemini, Murasaki Baby
Warning: Detour Ahead, Road Joins Again In November
This week we talk about how hunter is dead but maybe not really? We talk a bit about the EU qualifiers (spoiler warning here, sorry) for Blizzcon and how it relates the ever swinging call sign for hunter time of death. From there we talk about the growing Hearthstone tournament scene, professional gaming being an oddity no longer, and reveal just how old we actually are (wait, when did that happen?).
Then we spend some (a lot) of time talking about Magic and Hearthstone, why broad support for local tournaments may not be coming soon (hint: its related to retail space), and HOW those local tournaments may come about. Then we get back to business and talk a bit about the meta (at least where were at).
Scattered throughout (like little treats or landmines): Adam butchers Neireas name pronunciation, how the sausage is made, why now is the best time to be talking about Hearthstone, what Adam will do when he decides to buy packs, and tap dancing Steve Jobs.
Warning: Old Age Detected. Prepare for Carrousel.
